Great looking chairs, comfortable

We bought these for our conference room to replace some temporary folding chairs. We liked the look of these and they go well with our office. Warning that the office and especially the room they were unpacked in smelled strongly like plastic gas for a couple days when they were opened and assembled. Do it in a room that can open windows.We bought six chairs, but only five had the proper parts to assemble them (screw on the legs). The company did try to send replacement parts but they sent us the parts for a different model of chair, so we had to go and buy our own parts.Anyway, the chairs are strong and nice. We like.

Great quality, disappointing oversights

We've ordered two sets of these chairs. The first set arrived intact, all fittings included. The second set arrived in good order, but without a set of screws for the second chair. It was easier to go into the garage to find four of the same sized screws to replace them, than to wait for the supplier to send them to me.Not everyone would be lucky enough to have the right sized screws laying around. Which means waiting for them to arrive before putting the chairs together. More care should be taken when shipping them.

Great Eames-style chair

Perfect desk chair, perfect price. I wanted an Eames style chair, and this is great. Built in a short time. Only downside, no instructions included, so had to do a lot of web search for building. Wasn't clear to me, but others might have been able to put together no problem. Overall, great, and get a lot of compliments. Worth it.

Very sharp & comfortable to use

My wife and I both use these an absolutely love them. We were replacing a set of J.A. Henckels knives that we've had for probably 10 years.We were happy with the knives being replaced, but they had riveted handle slabs that were beginning to come loose (one handle slab on our chef's knife eventually fell off, prompting us to seek replacements). Due to the failure of our other knives, we wanted knives with either integral handles (just the metal) or expoxied handles. Would have preferred the former, but the reviews and price for these were good enough that we decided to try them.We did not expect such a tremendous difference between these and our old knives with respect to their sharpness. I don't know if our old knives were EVER this sharp (we routinely used the steel and occasionally a knife sharpener made for kitchen knives). With our old knives, my wife had started to buy NY strip roasts and filet roasts that were already trimmed because removing the silver skin, etc. was too difficult. These knives have totally changed that - really cut through those materials very easily. I had resorted to using an electric knife to cut roasts, briskette, etc. but now use the chef's knife that came with this set - slices through them with very little effort (and without tearing up the meat).My only (perhaps unfounded) concern is that the epoxy used on the handles will eventually wear out, making me regret not holding out for integral handles. Nothing about the knives indicates that this will be the case, however.

Worth every cent

I always figured good kitchen knives would be a little better-maybe hold their edge slightly better, sharpen up a tad bit more, etc, but these things really surprised the heck out of me. Its like cutting everything with a razor blade and a huge improvement over generic knives. You will see the difference. I freak out now if someone else uses them, and heaven forbid they put one in the sink!!!!

Excellence!! Knives and Customer Service!!

Ordered these for Christmas, was excited to have them as my husband loves to cook and our knife set has needed replacing for some time. I researched to find a set that would withstand heavy use and remain in good shape for years to come. These knives are made very well!! I have never had a better set! They feel great in hand! Not only did the set arrive quickly, the supplier met a competitors deal for a free gift, even after the shipment was made, without further cost to me sent me quick emails with tracking numbers for the second shipment!! I have to say this was by far the best experience I have had with buying on Amazon. Cutlery and Beyond has gone beyond my expectations in providing not only a high quality item at a great price, but amazing service.

nice form, poor function

Overall disappointed in this watch. The positive is that it is a very attractive watch. Its the perfect size and weight. Its not too flashy with lots of buttons and a busy bezel ring like some watches in this category. It also looks equally good when worn with a suit or jeans. The black face and brushed stainless steel finish is understated and stylish. The watch looks much better in person than in photos. In fact, the appearance was the ultimate reason for the purchase. I had done some research and found that most of the automatic watches in this price range all used similar movements, so my rationale was that I should pick the watch that looked the best to me assuming that function would be about the same. I also assumed that with a respected company like Tag, quality control would not be a problem. I was mistaken. First complaint is relatively minor, and that is that the lumen markings are practically worthless. You cannot see the hands of this watch in low light. You can walk into a movie theater from bright sunlight, and within 15 minutes there is no more illumination on the lumen markings. Second complaint, it does a poor job of maintaining its reserve. Fully wound, and worn all day, it will still stop after sitting for only 12 hours. Third complaint, it keeps poor time. The watch will gain approximately 40 seconds per day. Finally, my biggest complaint and the biggest problem is the stem. I had read in other reviews that the stem is susceptible to stripping if one is not careful. As a result, I was very careful every time I screwed back the stem (which unfortunately was more often than I would have liked since the watch would frequently stop and had to be set and wound when I would wake up in the morning- see 2nd complaint above). But alas, after owning the watch for just 8 months, the stem is now stripped and it will not fully recess and seal. The functional problems of this watch are unacceptable and reflect poorly on Tag Heuer. I had read some poor reviews on Tag products before buying this watch, but I attributed many of them to the watch snobs out there who seem to have it out for Tag. But, in the end they were right. Tag makes a poor product and it seems they are all about marketing and image over quality. If I had to make the decision over again, I would have paid more money and bought the Omega Sea Master. It was my second choice and an equally attractive watch. But I went with the lower price Tag and now regret it.

Great TAG Heuer for the money

Just got this watch and it is my second TAG after having my previous one stolen. Very clean lines, simple, yet sophisticated watch that will look good in the corporate board room or law firm yet not out of place in more casual environments. Watch "feels" right on the the wrist, not a light timepiece but it gives you the sense of quality that you would expect from a MSRP $2100.

great basic automatic for every day use

I just bought this watch although not from amazon. I decided to purchase in store. They gave me an extra year on top of the tag 2 year warranty. I paid about 1350 for the watch.I've had the watch for about 2 weeks and so far it's fantastic.It gains about 8 seconds a day which isn't too bad considering the advantages of the watch.The watch is super versatile. You can wear it with a suit and tie or you can wear it with a t-shirt, shorts and sandals. So this is a perfect everyday watch.The watch is absolutely gorgeous. The watch face is a slate color but has in it a set of horizontal lines which make for a very clean look.The bracelet also has the push button clasp which is nice.And the all stainless look on the bezel is absolutely clean.They also increased the size of this watch to 41mm so it's on the larger size but by no means too large.The look of the watch very much reminds me of the omega seamaster but cleaner.Overall a great everyday watch which will work for almost any occassion.And the fact is that the price is on the low end of Tag's line. So this may be the best watch for the money that Tag makes.
