The Lava SUB-10 delivers a clear, crisp and surprisingly powerful punch when
you take its small size into account. At 15" x 11.25" x 14.5", its small
footprint allows for an easy placement even in small environments. The SUB-10
cabinet small enough for dens, bedrooms or other small spaces, but is still big
enough to move some serious air. The SUB-10 is the answer to a small sub with

The Lava SUB-10 is a front-firing, front-ported powerhouse featuring an 8
inch cellulose composite woofer. We don't use cheap paper cardboard woofers.

The Lava SUB-10 is powered by a 100 watt internal amplifier that provides
home theater and stereo bass you can feel.
Lava SUB-10 powered subwoofer extends the low frequency response of the
system below 40Hz, with a low pass frequency response in the range of 37-150 Hz
(+/-3 dB) and a 60 - 180 Hz continuously variable low pass crossover. In a
surround sound system the SUB-10 provides stunning reproduction of the LFE (low
frequency effects) channel in the range of 20-380 Hz (+/-3dB). The SUB-10 is
also incredibly sensitive testing a 130mV at 100W.
The SUB-10 provides both line level RCA, speaker level inputs and comes in a
black, lightly textured cabinet. The cabinets look as great as they sound.
Enclosures are constructed of high-quality MDF material and a seamless black PVC
finish that minimizes resonance and looks great. The SUB-10 comes with an MDF
grill frame covered with black speaker cloth. If you don't find the SUB-10 to be

Fantastic subwoofer for the money!!!!

I received this subwoofer after using a cheap KLH 10" "250w" powered subwoofer for my home theater. As soon as I set it up, I did notice one thing, and that was a hum that I didn't have with my last subwoofer. A 75 cent fix took care of the whole problem. I was getting a ground loop somehow through my cable going to my television. A "cheater" plug took care of it and have never had a problem with that since. I noticed a HUGE improvement over the last sub as far as depth of range, and really feeling like its unidirectional and not focused from any one point. It has such incredible lows for a 10" sub and I've listened to subs at 4 times the price that I didn't think were any improvement over this sub. This is very comparable to something like an Epik Subwoofer in my opinion and if you want really high quality sound without spending a fortune, go for this. Eric at lavasubs.com will take care of you if there are any issues, and its still a fairly small company taking off so give these guys a chance. I noticed virtually no port "chuffing" and the seamless fade from my Klipsch Icons that go down to about 41hz into the sub that takes over at about 45-50hz is flawless. I truly can't tell you enough how solid this thing is for the money. I have felt others that feel a hair better and maybe aesthetics could be improved but for the sound quality and what you get, this Lava Sub is unmatched.
