Pretty amazing unit! But Pools Inc gave me the runaround w/$ credit.

I struggled w/the 1-2 person vs the 3-4 person along with deciding on infrared carbon or ceramic heaters. I can honestly say this whole package from the ordering of the unit to the assembly as well as customer service is 4* & I'm a pretty tough customer.I ordered it on a Sunday evening from Pools Etc Inc. contacted customer service Monday. The unit was in shipping by Monday night coming from somewhere up north. By Tue afternoon it had been delivered to Chattanooga out for Delv to me for Wed. Wow!! I have never had that kind of fast shipping before.******CAUTION:****** When this unit ships & they call you for delivery you will have 48hrs to be available. Otherwise they will charge you a "storage fee" to hold it till you can be home to accept delivery. We opted to pick it up ourselves at shipping company after work hours as we couldn't get off work to be home. You need to be home all day they can not narrow down delivery time. But I will add I found this unit cheaper less than 8hrs after placing the order (placed on Sunday). I called the company first thing Monday morning asking to meet the price I'd found on other websites. When I mentioned just canceling the order the response was that this unit had already left the warehouse. Very unlikely but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt here.My husband put this together in 30min. (he is an electrician & mechanically inclined) The walls, floors & heaters all snapped into place. The hardware is already wired and just has to be connected. My husband did have to change out an outlet. It used a 120v but had the funky prongs. He also said the instructions were very lacking. There were several items that had no instructions what-so-ever, but he eventually figured it out. He had to rewire to a breaker on it's own as we did start tripping the breaker once in use. Someone who is not a mechanically inclined might find this unit a little frustrating to put together.I wouldn't want to go any smaller than this for 2 people. I can stretch out & read or even lay down with my knees bent. This unit comes w/3 backrest which are essential, as you shouldn't lean on the heaters. We don't get good reception in our basement but the radio picked up all stations great. Speaker, CD, MP3 hookups & lights are very nice added features. This unit comes with a towel rack and magazine rack which are useful. The wood material is thin & you wouldn't want to put any pressure or lean on the glass as it is very thin also. The top/roof wood was warped. We just put extra nails into the roof to accommodate for the bowing.It takes 20min to heat up to 140 degrees & I sit in there for an hour reducing the heat every 10min or so. The whole infrared technology works!! I was sweating in 10min & it doesn't feel hard to breath, neither does your skin get to hot like in traditional saunas. There are no uneven heating spots. There are even vents in the floor & ceiling if needed.***************UPDATE: 12/2/2010 It's a little over 3 weeks later & I still love this Sauna. My caution is with the company Pools Ect. Inc. They agreed to credit me $135 the day after I bought it. I had found this exact unit cheaper on Overstock.com & a few other websites. Well 3 weeks & 4 phone calls later I kept getting the response "it should post shortly" or "give it two weeks". So today 3 weeks later I'm told "we will put that credit in the works today." I'm not sure if this is a game, hoping I would forget about the credit, or just a mistake on someone's part. Now I'm very concerned! Should something go wrong with this unit would this company really take care of me or avoid me. After a little more investigating I pulled up their website & noticed they show no saunas for sale on their website so naturally I'm very concerned now.

Great Product

The unit came in 3 boxes(very heavy) but all the pieces are modular, so it goes together rather quickly. The unit has these screws with a slot that you are suppose to slid them into, but the walls are very heavy and you need to get them just right for them to slid in. I ended up removing the screws all-together and using a pneumatic narrow crown stapler to assemble. The wall seem very stable and not at all flimsy. The stereo system sounds great and is wonderful while relaxing in the heat. The unit takes about 30 min to heat from 40 degress F to 120 degress F. You can fit 2 adults comfortably in the unit or 3 if you must. Otherwise for the price this is a wonderful unit and a great addition to your home. Note: I would highly recommend having a dedicated circuit for this unit. You should plan to have a GFCI 20 amp outlet and a dedicated 20 amp breaker on the circuit panel and you may want to have a switch somewhere in the circuit so you don't need to unplug the unit when not in use.

Good to Go

The Sauna was delivery on time if not earlier for me; I use it almost every day. Putting it together took some time for me 45 minutes as I didn't read the direction. I assemble it with the back walls up first but the door is the first thing up not the last. I'm 6"1', i have to tilt my neck when trying to stand upright but i can sit and put my legs up on the bench and enjoy the heat. The radio install was simple enough but the housing could use a design change, which would be my only downside. In my sauna the pieces of wood that the radio housing screws into didn't have enough nails/staples and the housing fell after 15 minutes. I replace the nails/staple and wood with a bigger/thicker piece of wood and screws to hold it. I would also recommend a small shelve be install to hold your MP3/Zune/I-Pod near the Aux Port on the radio. I would recommend that everyone get one.
