I recently purchased the whole 41 II package which includes the 42 II center speaker, 41 II bookshelf, and 41 II surrounds. I added 2 more 41 II bookshelf speakers for 7.1 surround sound. I am very happy with my purchase. The sound is SO CLEAR.I had an Onkyo 6300 HTIB system with the intention of upgrading my speakers, when the receiver decided to die on me. I ended up getting rid of it and getting a Denon 1911 receiver. Once the receiver was hooked up I decided to go ahead and upgrade the speakers as well. I kept the onkyo subwoofer and after much research decided to go with the Klipsch Reference 41 II series. It was kind of a shot in the dark because I couldn't find any reviews on them and no stores in my area carried them. I know klipsch is a good brand but I was a litle worried when I would read reviews that would say the sound can be too bright and may cause ear fatigue. That is not the case with these speakers! They are super clear, great highs, great mids, you hear every detail. When watching movies the voices are never drowned out by the music or thundering sound effects. Its a perfect balance. When listening to music you feel like you are front and center live, you can hear every note the horns are playing with no distortion, just great clarity.I highly recommend these speakers. My living room is 19 x 15 and they fill it nicely.

I purchased these surround speakers to accompany additional Klipsch RF-52 II and RC-52 II front speakers. The surround speakers are extremely crisp and dynamic with 5.1 sound. Great value for the quality of sound. Highly recommend.

in previous reviews i had very highly rated the bookshelf rb 51IIs ... I'd added them to the hdt 500 system to add punch, which they certainly did. anyway, that review is readily available. inevitably, i got the bug for even more improvements. My living room is pretty big, and though (again as stated elsewhere) the little satellites were amazing, i got to thinking "if the bookshelf speakers were such an incredible addition, how about beefing up the surround speakers ...?" at any rate, i chose the most affordable rs 41IIs after much thought and debate. they are exceptional. i've read other reviews where complaints were voiced about not being able to hear them. but they aren't designed to be equally heard, but to provide a surround experience. and, in movies, they provide a completely immersable experience (especially the big budget action movies). with music, i usually don't listen to 5.1 but 7 channel stereo, and here i do admit to turning them up just slightly, but they disperse the music very well, and make the music feel like it fills the room, not like you are listening to the "front wall." money very, very well spent. i ended up getting the center speaker (rc 41II)and its review is forthcoming. hey, klipsch, if ever you need a spokesman . . .
