Good mount

This mount works great for my Aimpoint ML3 red dot site. It is easily removable and is VERY easy to install. It has a solid hold on a picatinny rail system. When removed and then re-installed you lose nothing as far as zero. It's relatively light and is pretty flexible.The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of five was the fact that the screw to attach it to the rifle sticks out a little too far, which I thought was a bit of a poor design, and the fact that the rubber casing for my scope doesn't fit perfectly with the mount. Being manufactured by Aimpoint, you wouldn't think this would be an issue.

Looks good so far

I received the new G550 a few days ago, so this is a very early review. Out of the box, the unit was very easy to start up and configure. Even the "bloat-ware" was nicely done. Instead of having dozens of icons and applications, there was a single application that walked you through various options and allowed you to select what you wanted. After this, we only had to uninstall three programs to clean up the system.I really like the keyboard. I had first looked at the Acer, but when I tried one at Costco I found that the keyboard would flex and warp when you apply pressure. The Lenovo is very solid and has a great key feel. The quality is the same as for my much more expensive Lenovo T60p at work. It has lights for CapsLock and NumLock. I understand that some low-end laptops do not have this anymore. The number pad has narrow keys and will take a while to get used to.The case itself is not the same quality as the Lenovo I use at work. Even though it has a nice texture, the lid looks like cheap plastic. I am OK with this because of the low price. This laptop cost 1/3 of what my wife spent for her MacBook Pro.The webcam works fine. My son had a great time setting up the face recognition feature for logging in.I was happy to find that the unit has three USB ports. When researching the G550, I found some document that claimed it only had two.I ran the built-in Windows performance test. The processor and memory tests reported between 4.3 and 5.3, but the graphics tests reported 3.3. This is reasonable for integrated graphics, but don't expect great gaming performance.-----------Update Dec 2010Now that we have had this laptop for a month, I have two comments:First, while the laptop has a webcam, the picture quality is poor compared to our old USB webcam and our Macbook-Pro laptops. The image is never very sharp and was always dark until we added a desk lap. My son still likes the face detection feature for logging in. It claims it will remember faces from failed login attemps so you can find who has been trying to use your computer.Second, we also had problems with the cursor jumping around while typing. The problem is that your wrist will touch the touchpad and register a mouse click. This happens even if you are using an external mouse. Luckily there is an easy fix. Pressing Fn-F8 can disable the touchpad when you do not want to use it. Other than this issue, we have had no problems with the keyboard.Overall, I am still quite pleased with this machine.

I've always had IBM Thinkpad for work. This has the same great feel to the keyboard. This was way ahead of the competition in quality and was a perfect gift for my casual computer user wife.

Just the perfect little netbook. It runs everything I need it to run. Just be sure and get the upgrade to the better version of Windows and you will be set. Just a wonderful little netbook. The touch screen is awesome. Almost never use a mouse. Having a keyboard that I can touch type on occasion is very important to me. And I can hook stuff up through the USB ports. Much better than a iPad IMHO. Battery life is excellent. Screen is awesome. Books are a breeze to read on this. I even do picture editing on it. […] I have edited the last 5 pictures from this little lappy. Can't say enough good things about it.

Perfect Netbook

I felt that it was important to write a review on this netbook as it is very different due to the touch screen which works great!!. I have had a few different netbooks from ACER and ASUS over last 2 years and by far this is the best one out. After purchasing this netbook I sold my other 2 netbooks as this is the only one I would need for home and office. The netbook is very responsive and has plenty of hard drive space with the 250Gig storage. The best part is that the Touch Screen really responds as any of the new phones would out there like a droid or iphone. Its screen is very responsive and makes it great for using as a tablet. The best part of the touch screen is using with a E-book and being able to touch or turn the page very quickly. Battery life is good for a 4 cell battery. Really recommend to anyone wanting to have a portable netbook and have the ease of touchscreen instead of bringing a mouse around with you everywhere. One important item for me was the ability to pick up wi-fi or home connections wirelessly and this netbook has a great range and is very quick once connected. I hope the review will help anyone out there. The hinge feels very sturdy as well where the monitor spins around. Overall a very well built netbook.

This is very fast netbook machine. The capacity touch screen is very responsible. The memory is DDR 3 SODIMM so be carefull when you decide to upgrade the RAM. I'm very happy and for a portable use is an excelent computer.

Never thought a USB cable would actually matter!

I never in a million years thought that something as simple as a USB cable could improve the quality of audio. Boy was I mistaken. I use this cable with a MacBook Pro and an Apogee Duet 2 and the sound quality is outstanding. At first I used a gold plated Belkin cable from Best Buy, but it has since been delegated to my printer. The lows are incredible and crystal clear. In even went out and bought an Audioquest 3.5mm stereo cable for use with my iPhone/iPod Nano and couldn't be happier with the souEven my musician pals can tell a difference. If only Audioquest made guitar cables. Then I'd be in heaven.

Quality Cables Do Matter

I recently upgraded my headphone amplifier to a PS Audio GCHA Headphone Amplifier. When it arrived I was very impressed in the sound improvement and it even got better with some burn-in time. One thing I've always believed is that decent equipment deserves high quality cables, and that was proven to me again. After I switched out a good quality USB cable for the higher quality AudioQuest the music got even better. The music coming out of my headphones sounded more balanced across the bass, mid-range and highs. The sound stage opened up even more and no flabby bass was to be heard. I think this USB cable from AudioQuest is well worth the money. Why not get the most out of your equipment? Don't cheap out on your cables. This one is priced at the sweet spot IMHO.

Overpriced

Assembly was more of a pain than would have been necessary - I actually had to re-drill some of the holes because they were painted over.The seahorse cutout is adorable - but it is not worth the price. If you have the crib against a wall then you lose that cutout right off the bat. Unless you have a chair right at the other end - and unless your kid is facing away from the wall, the other one does not give you a view of the child.

teaset crib is not as pictured

Want other people to be aware that the crib being sent differs from the one pictured for the tea set crib. I have now had three different cribs sent to us from amazon that all had the steam swirl, but no tea cup underneath it. It seems strange, but that is how it has come three times now. Amazon is great with returns, but for some reason this crib just does not match what is pictured on the site so be prepared for a swirl of steam and no cup below it!

Hard to find playset ..

Found this item at Wal-mart for less ($30). Comes with a dragon, Hiccup, and the playset itself is pretty cute with little sheep the nadder can grab. This is a gift for my kid for Christmas. So i cant say about the durability of the toys. I have been to 3 different wally world stores multiple times, and only saw this once.*Update* Playset is easy to assemble. The sheep are quite small which is a bit of a disappointment.

A rare find

HTTYD is hard to find...this has some small pieces but is remarkably hardy. My son got this set for Christmas LAST year and still plays with it regularly. The pieces are still at hand and work well. The true test will be when my younger one gets his hands on it!!!

The girls love it!

We got this on walmart site to store for like $25 plus tax. The girls absolutely love it! They loved putting sheep in the Nadder's mouth, they liked having a Hiccup, they LOVED getting a Deadly Nadder, the little shack that comes with it was great. But here are the reasons it is only a 4/5 on durability. The shooting thing was not so great, more often than not, from the get go, the fire that you are supposed to be able to load and shoot would not load well, it wouldn't click into place, and when it finally did it would shoot out on it's own too easily so it rarely stayed in place long enough for one of us to actually shoot, parent or kid. The little things that are supposed to hold the cannon thing up were flimsy, and the Nadder's wings fall off too easily and I have decided to epoxy the wings on permanently, just haven't done it yet. Other than these annoyances the girls love this toy.

Be forewarned

The white Belle Epoque mohair throw I recently purchased is very light weight and while the label states that it is 100% mohair pile, the blanket it is 78% mohair, 13% wool and 9% nylon--made in South Africa. After living with it for a few seasons, I find it sheds considerably and is so thin that I can see through it. Fine for a temporary purchase but not something that will hold up for years.

Outstanding Throw!

This is a very high quality and beautiful throw - well worth the cost. The orange (ginger) is true to the image (not a rust or burnt orange)and the sheen adds a nice enhacement to the color. The length/width is perfect coverage when stretched out on the couch and the light weight provides comfortable warmth. Only the pile (short surface hairs) are 100% mohair but the 13% wool and 9% nylon threads should add stability to this throw which I expect to use for many years. I will be purchasing another color for my bedroom.

A Lifesaver!!

I love this carry cot! It saved me! I had bought the Kiddy Sport N Move stroller but I didn't realize that the stroller inset that it came with was only for older children. It wasn't a disaster because I had a carseat and a Snap-n-go for my infant, the problem was that the baby only slept on his stomach (I know, I know) and was a miserable screaming mess when strapped into an infant seat. Over the holidays I had to hold him at every meal because he wouldn't abide by being put down. Finally, I found this carry cot. It was amazing! He was so happy to lay down! I clipped a baby toy to the sides and he was happy to look and bat at it while awake, and when he was ready to go to sleep, I just flipped him over and covered him with a blanket and he was peaceful as can be. When my husband I an spent a weekend at a conference, this was great because I didn't have to bring anything for the baby to sleep in - I had the stroller to wheel him around and then he slept right in it - even if we weren't in the room! I can't overstate how great this carry cot is, but there are a few problems with it.- The mattress is a bit rough so until I started covering it with a bassinet sheet, my baby got a little rash on his face.- It's quite heavy and unbalanced with the baby in it, so don't imagine you will be toting baby around without the chassis- The buttons to press to release the carry cot are nearly impossible for one person to use alone - especially with the baby in it - this is an overall criticism with the whole stroller.Despite these issues, I'm super happy with the carry cot and plan to use it as long as I can.

way too big

It fits really well with Kiddy Sport N Move Stroller, but it is too big to carry out. I had returned it.
