Decent lamp

This lamp gives a nice strong sunny halogen light. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of halogen desk lamps available with a long arm like this. It has broken on me twice: first the switch broke, then the bulb socket got a loose wire. Both times I was able to fairly easily take the bulb area of the lamp apart and fix it for minimal or no expense. To fix the switch, I simply removed it and spliced the wires directly together; I have the lamp plugged into a cord with a switch and I turn it on and off from there. To fix the socket, I ordered a new one off Amazon for about $5. Because it is an attractive and functional design, because these kinds of lamps are relatively hard to find, and because it was easy to fix, I give it a fairly high rating, although other people might be less satisfied with a similar experience.
