Great non-oem filter

We have an older furnace/humidifier/air purifier in our house, it takes a filter that is $60-$80 if I buy it in the store. I saved money by getting this filter. Also, the filter box said its good for at least a year. I called the company to confirm because that sounded like not enough changing of the filter. The lady ar best air said that was correct for a business. For a residence, I could possibly go 2 years without changing the filter, she said visually inspect if every 3 months and replace it when I can see dust accumulate. I believe her, but have been changing the filter every year...whether it needs it or not.
