Product Description
The Shoeless Foot-Up Accessory connects to the Foot-Up & allows the orthosis to be worn at home without footwear. The Shoeless wrap fits around arch of the foot & clips to the Foot-Up anklet. Please note that this product does not include the ankle piece & therefore should only be ordered in conjunction with the Foot-Up or if you already have an Ossur Footup. Please Note: Accessory only, used in conjunction with the Foot-Up ankle orthosis (AFO) brace.

you can wear regular shoes

My father has severe foot drop and we have tried a few different braces. Most braces for foot drop are very challenging to fit into shoes-we have to get wider and bigger shoes. He likes the Ossur Foot Up because he can walk around in his socks and slippers.

May take time/practice.

This product may just take time to break it in. Just does not lift the foot correctly unless your wearing shoes. May take time to get used to, and with the barefoot strap the foot still hangs down, just not as much. I believe that with practice (while using my walker for safety) it will meet my expectations.

Great Product for the appropriate client.

The product is appropriate if you have a very mild drop foot (I.E you have some active ability to lift the foot but lack full strength or motor coordination). This product worked quite well for my patient and she is very pleased as it has not only allowed better foot clearance but it has increased her balance, reduced her risk for falls and improved her walking tolerance and speed. As a physical therapist I am always looking for products with a reasonable price and ease of application. My 94 y/o is able to apply this brace quickly, easily and with all of her shoes and was pleased with the price.
