I bought this watch because I like the appearance. I really didn't want to pay $2K for a Rolex or $1K for a Movado, so this was the trade-off. The shipping was fairly quick for an overseas Seller. The info you get before and after you buy the watch is limited. I am not sure (yet) of the kind or quality of the movement, but my research indicates it is a middle grade quartz movement. That is okay. I wish I knew if the crystal was a scratch proof sapphire, but I probably won't find out until it is "field tested." The watch is of average weight... not heavy like a Rolex but not cheesy like a China knock-off. Okay, if you are looking for a reason to like the watch, I will give you one.... the watch band links are of the screwed in type (not the cheap push pins). That is a good thing :-) It is water resistant to (presumably) 30 meters. I really don't trust any watch in the water unless it has a screw down crown. I bought this as a more attractive but sporty second watch for more dressy occasions. My "regular" watch is a Zodiac Professional which is tough as nails, looks sharp, and doesn't suck water.Check with me if you want a long term evaluation of this Krug Baumen watch. Amazon has the best prices for these on the Internet.
