Finally a Well Constructed Spongebob Figure Set

My 3 year old loves Spongebob and we are usually very let down at the poor quality toys we have found for the series. I was very surprised at the build quality for the Jakks toys. My son is thrilled that they can go in the bath with him, dry off then can play all over the house too. Toys R Us currently has the 4 pack set for only 15 bucks!

Perfect for Kids Obsessed with Spongebob and Friends

I love the fact that all the main characters are in one set. But...Sandy's tail is constantly falling off, and our Spongebob is supposed to blush when placed underwater, and he does not blush, I will repeat, he does not blush. I placed him under running water for about two minutes- nothing. I then placed him in three different temperatures of water (cold, warm, hot bowls of water) for several minutes- nada. I have taken away one overall star due to the above. Squidward's hat is nice and snug when placed on his head; Sandy's helmet is removable and stays on fairly well when placed over her cranium. My daughter does not care about a wayward tail nor remembers the fact that Bob is even supposed to blush, so that's the extant of the drama. Cute set; just one small dolphin noise to cover up certain words I would like to impart to Jakks Pacific (yes, I was excited about the blush deal!).Addendum on 3/9/11: Our Spongebob has finally begun to blush...have discovered that it is very cold air that is the catalyst. Will update after experimentation with very cold water. I am keeping rating the same, because Bob is supposed to blush when he comes in contact with water, not air.Update on 3/16/11: Really cold water definitely works....warm water takes the blushing effect away instantly. So weird that it took so long for the blushing deal to engage, but now I am totally satisfied that I got my money's worth. Still fun in the tub, but he might be possibly even more fun in a just-filled kiddie pool that turns one into an instant popsicle (just kidding).

Little pieces come off!

My son is a huge spongbob fan, and unfortunately not a big toy selection in the store so I was really excited to order this for my son...however....Sandy's tail came off right away and it didn't take long for spongebob's arms to come off. My son does still play with them in the bathtub... But spongebob has no arms and sandy never got her tail back. I guess you could super glue the pieces on...!?!?!?
