Best dog barrier for BMW X5 - fits 2011/2012 model perfectly

Great seller. Item had shipping time of 2-3 weeks and arrived in 3 days. Packaged well, very easy to assemble. On not hard to install either once you figure out that you have to fold down the back seats and install the holding rods facing the backseat and not facing into the cargo area. Even though the item is described as suitable for 2007-2010 the item also fits perfectly into the 2011-2012 model. Just installed it into my 2012 X5 Sport Activity. Very stable, great high quality construction that doesn't rattle or shake. Doesn't require any alterations to interior of car. Normally never write reviews but this is a great product and given the fact that BMW doesn't offer anything to separate the cargo are from the passenger compartment I think this is the only real custom made solution for this car. Generic guard systems leave tons of space on the edges, but this product fits snug and seals of the cargo area from the rest of the car. Great if you have a dog or need to transport heavy items and want to protect yourself and your passengers in the back of the car. Have installed this in 5 seat configuration so can't give feedback for 7 seater.

I have a 2012 BMW X5 and searched the various pet barriers on the market. Most were cheaply made, not a great fit to my vehicle and required 'compression points' to the headliner. The Travall barrier is a piece of art. Not only is it manufactured perfectly with heavy-duty metal and nice finish, it also fits the car exactly. Installation was very easy, taking about 15 minutes. And the best part, it's design doesn't negatively impact or damage any part of the interior. My Cargo cover works with the unit and most importantly, I feel my beloved Beagle is protected while riding in the back.Yes, the product comes from England and shipping is a bit more. But it is worth it.

The barrier was quite tricky to install and took me much more time than expected. The illustrations in the instructions were poor. The design is much better than most standard floor to ceiling barriers.
