A Professional Quality SDI Product

This is indeed a professional broadcast quality product. I'm a AV engineer that has installed several AVID and professional broadcast studios so when I tell you that this is a professional product I'm speaking from my experiences.The card allows you to make the necessary adjustments to use it in either a full format broadcast TV mode or online video streaming. These cards also work well with VidBlaster software. I was pleasingly surprised when it worked as easily as it did.Keep in mind that they require PCIe X16 slots for each card (will not be recognized by PCIe X8 slot). Pros: - The latest Software and Drivers are easily downloaded from BlackMagic Design website - Each card has 2-Inputs and corresponding 2-output - The looping outputs are a must for most engineers - These are professional cards that comes with BNC for I/O connections. - Reading the instructions (downloaded) is a must but easily works you through the setup and operations for MACs, PCs, and Lynics systems - The card and software works with Windows7 and 8 64bit OS only - Select from various 1080 or 720 formats (SDI or HDTV) - SDI signal has embedded audio - Works more professionally than the Avertv cards which can't get to the resolution level of the Decklink Duo Cons: - The control setup utility program is somewhat hidden in the control panel (not a big deal if you read the instructions) - A little pricey for the average video guy but if you want quality you've got to pay for it (Avertv Cards @ $90 and the Decklink @$470) - The included software does not allow for separating the embedded audio
