Product Description

The Motordyne Copper Iso Thermal plenum spacer adds 12HP-14HP and reduces the effect of power robbing heat soak by thermally isolating both the upper and lower plenum. The 5/16" thickness provides the best overall performance and is fully compatible with your engine cover and strut bar.

All Motordyne Iso Thermal systems keep your upper and lower plenum cooled without the risk of throttle body freezing when driving in cold weather.

Use the Copper if it snows in your area.

Great product! Couldn't be more happier. The previous poster is right....instructions not the best....the video helped. Instantly felt the improvement. Great mod!

Easy to install. Great product! I think Plenum Spacer is one of the best upgrades you can get before going FI.

4Great mod, hell of an install..

I have a 03' 350z with intake, exhaust, earthing kit, engine damper, Utec and diversion panel. I originally wanted turbos or supercharger but decided against it. So I decided to go the easier bolt-on route. This space is better than the other brands that I helped install on my friends' Z (of various years). This kit fits right on, the manufacturing tolerances are quite exact I must say. I am happy with the product, the included instructions can be confusing. There parts where you have to flip back an forth between certain diagrams because there are assigned screws according to length and a few other things that a black and white fuzzy photocopy can't make out. My suggestion is youtube motordyne plenum install and watch the video first. After, the instructions will be much more clear. Trust me....video first, paper next!!The install not as easy as they say. It was a total B@$#* to remove the coolant hoses and vac lines on way in back on the throttle body and under intake! That's what took so damn long actually....when they're baked and sticking...have fun. Use a pair of pliers after slipping down the clamps and loosen it up (with the top half of the plenum tipped towards drivers side).Otherwise, the nylon spacers for in interior of the plenum fit right on and do not slide while aligning the top for final torquing to bottom half. It also includes the needed locktite blue in case you're wondering. You may want to take the opportunity to clean out the crud inside and around the throttle body valve while it's out. This will save you $$ from the dealer so get the degreaser/cleaner ready. Just be careful not to press too hard when it comes to the throttle valve, misaligning it will make you go through the relearning process which is a pain. What I did was spray the cleaner on q-tips and lightly work it around until clean. Do not directly spray and go nuts! Patience...Full OCD install...I reserved a few hours or so which worked out because the stuck hoses added 45 min to it!It fits under the brace (which spacers and new bolts are included with this kit as well!)You will probably have to adjust the brace (shorten it by loosening the screw and pulling it in/shorter) since the spacers will raise it and won't align the base holes to the bolts/holes due to the slight angle of it. Two turns should be fine and then lock the lock nut back. There are only 2 bolts you keep from your old strut brace bolts (you'll see, its the only one that is a nut not bolt screws. The cosmetic front cover fits back on, no forcing at all. Reset your ECU and get ready for fun.Yes, it does slightly change the sound of the exhaust. Slightly deeper rumble and louder at 3k+ rpm, more notable around 4k+. If you have an intake, it sounds like a quieter turbo (air suction) only without the blowoff part afterwards. I love it! I know some say they didn't feel it not notice a diff but I did. It's not like it turns into a Bugatti Veryon but I did note a bump in sound and power. Just my opinion...hope it helps! The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is the price but Nismoshop is still slightly cheaper than many others. I am very satisfied with them as a seller so Kudos NismoShop! Thanks a bunch!
