Nice Grips.

I ordered these to replace the kuryakyn ISO grips because the Kuryakyan grips were a little big (fat) and uncomfortable for me. I do like these new grips. much more comfortable for me and I like the style and having the throttle boss, which is a new option for Avon. I also had the throttle boss on my Kuryakyan's.There are a few things that I don't like. One is you have to superglue the correct fitting for your bike onto the throttle tube. It works ok, but it's a little cheesy. I wish they just made it to fit my bike, no superglue. Next, the weight is kinda cheap feeling. The Kuryakyn's are nice and heavy, which helps with vibration. These are lightweight plastic. From a materials quality, I think they are below the Kuryakyn's. Lastly and most frustrating is you have to remove the throttle grip to adjust the throttle boss. The adjustment screw is only accessible inside the tube. This is just stupid. You have to install the grip and then take it off a few times to get the throttle boss setup for your tastes. I plan to write Avon about this as it is really ridiculous. Also, there is a gap between the grip and the throttle boss that can get uncomfortable on a long ride. The skin on your hand sinks down into the gapOverall I like the grips a lot and I'm going to enjoy them now that they are installed. And I think the quality is in line with the price for the most part. But I do hate that adjustment for the throttle boss.Hope this helps you.

These Avon Grips w/Throttle Boss is a Hi-End Product

Worth the upgrade from flat stock grips. The three rubber cushion pad (ring) wrap around the grip, where the ISO grips are 8 separated uniform pads. Pad cushion is slightly firmer and thinner than the ISO. Riders with average or smaller hands will not feel this is as thick or fat as ISOs. Also pads have knurled like texture for extra grip. Less slippage when you need to hold the throttle down with an open palm without the throttle boss (rocker). The rocker comes attached and the adjustment screw is inside the grip. Need longer the 8in and thin phillips to see it, but can go by feel. You will need to remove the grip 2 or 3 times from the handlebars to adjust the rocker to your preference before mounting permanently. Two throttle ring clips included for small or large (metric) throttle housing connection. Crazy glue and adhesive strips included for tight secure fit to handlebars. Not a difficult install. Ride longer with less hand fatigue. Yup, I know online sellers have lazy descriptions of what is included with their products, especially for motorcycle products. Hopefully, this helps a bit.
