Expensive, but probably worth it

Noticeably reduced distortion using this cable, as compared to other brand USB cables. Probably worth the expense if you are using this cable for audiophile applications. Not worth the expense if you are just using it to connect a printer or other similar device to your computer.

I never in a million years thought that something as simple as a USB cable could improve the quality of audio. Boy was I mistaken. I use this cable with a MacBook Pro and an Apogee Duet 2 and the sound quality is outstanding. At first I used a gold plated Belkin cable from Best Buy, but it has since been delegated to my printer. The lows are incredible and crystal clear. In even went out and bought an Audioquest 3.5mm stereo cable for use with my iPhone/iPod Nano and couldn't be happier with the souEven my musician pals can tell a difference. If only Audioquest made guitar cables. Then I'd be in heaven.

I recently upgraded my headphone amplifier to a PS Audio GCHA Headphone Amplifier. When it arrived I was very impressed in the sound improvement and it even got better with some burn-in time. One thing I've always believed is that decent equipment deserves high quality cables, and that was proven to me again. After I switched out a good quality USB cable for the higher quality AudioQuest the music got even better. The music coming out of my headphones sounded more balanced across the bass, mid-range and highs. The sound stage opened up even more and no flabby bass was to be heard. I think this USB cable from AudioQuest is well worth the money. Why not get the most out of your equipment? Don't cheap out on your cables. This one is priced at the sweet spot IMHO.
