Its not THAT bad

I bought this MP3 player brand new a few years ago and I still use it every day. The headphones were horrid so I replaced them with gummy's from a dollar store and it works fine. I didn't use the clip and threw it away but it fits nice into a armband and I have no complaints. It holds like 500 songs if not more...if you can't get your workout done or whatnot with 500 songs theres a problem....if you want mass storage thats what ipods are for.ALSO I once washed it accidentally and once it dried...it still worked and lost no memory or had any problems.

Sansa's rock!

The whole Sansa line is very awesome. I'm not a fan of anything with "i" before it. Don't be a slave to iTunes and DRM. Sansa's can be put in MSC mode so they show up just like a USB drive. Then you can move your MP3s onto it without dealing with Windows Media Player of other software to "synch" the device. Just drag and drop what you want. Also, SanDisk hosts a forum for Sansa for assistance if you need it and download of the latest firmware. They actively develop the firmware for both Clip and Clip+ with user input. So features keep coming.The "Go List" feature is better on the Clip+ right now, but other than that you can get the original Clip unless you plan to buy the little SD radio cards. Any other differences are cosmetic only.I paid $70 for my first clip, so with the price so cheap, I've got 4 now. I can load them with different types of tunes and grab the one that suits my mood. (Blue-island tunes, black - metal, etc.)

I am one of those rare folks who after the age of 50 got their first mp3 player! So this review is for you newbies like me!My sweet little (and I do mean little) SanDisk Sansa was refurbished so I did not receive a manual or any kind of instructions. Thanks to other reviews here I was able to find the SanDisk website where they have a pdf format manual - ahh, thank you!Also thanks to the same reviewer, I learned how to use the MSC mode for the usb to even get my computer to recognize the device.This little gem is perfect for the avid audio book listener who drives long distances - OK, or music is great too. Easy to use, but you might need your reading glasses.And my last tip is to let you know there is no "stop" the music. So don't feel stupid, just hit pause. (I found this on the SanDisk Sansa Forum).Thank you previous reviewers!!! You made my purchase worthwhile!!
