The Lava SUB-12 delivers a clear, crisp and surprisingly powerful punch when
you take its small size into account. At 15" x 11.25" x 14.5", its small
footprint allows for an easy placement even in small environments. The SUB-12
cabinet small enough for dens, bedrooms or other small spaces, but is still big
enough to move some serious air. The SUB-12 is the answer to a small sub with
big sound! Get wall-shaking low-end kick at a price that is unheard of for a
powered subwoofer in this price class.
The Lava SUB-12 is a front-firing, front-ported powerhouse featuring an 8
inch cellulose composite woofer. We don't use cheap paper cardboard woofers.

The Lava SUB-12 is powered by a 100 watt internal amplifier that provides
home theater and stereo bass you can feel.
Lava SUB-12 powered subwoofer extends the low frequency response of the
system below 40Hz, with a low pass frequency response in the range of 37-150 Hz
(+/-3 dB) and a 60 - 180 Hz continuously variable low pass crossover. In a
surround sound system the SUB-12 provides stunning reproduction of the LFE (low
frequency effects) channel in the range of 20-380 Hz (+/-3dB). The SUB-12 is
also incredibly sensitive testing a 130mV at 100W.
The SUB-12 provides both line level RCA, speaker level inputs and comes in a
black, lightly textured cabinet. The cabinets look as great as they sound.
Enclosures are constructed of high-quality MDF material and a seamless black PVC
finish that minimizes resonance and looks great. The SUB-12 comes with an MDF
grill frame covered with black speaker cloth. If you don't find the SUB-12 to be
the best home subwoofer of its size for the price, just send it back within the

Great Sub, break it in.

Just wanted to review it because there was only one review, and it's a great product with a great price.On the shipping weight it says 23lbs but the sub itself actually weighs 42-lbs. Sturdy construction and very clean look. The surround is made of rubber, which is a big deal for me. I got it about 2 months ago (ordered from lava directly) Should be able to fill 20x20 room with enough bass for most movie/music applications. After about 2 months it seemed to break in and the bass got noticeably better. At first I was a little disappointed because the bass wasn't very accurate (mostly for music) but that cleared up down the road, and now I'm happy with its performance.

I had heard about Lava subs from a friend - the whole factory direct, save big money thing. So when I finished my man cave (behind my house), I put a 12" sub in from GotAudio. Clean, crisp, deep and omni-directional of course. I'm kind of a self-described audiophile and own a lot of theater equipment. I'm thrilled with my new man cave and theater and love it when my wife comes out to tell me to at least keep the rumble noise down so the neighbors don't complain. Compares well to much, much more expensive subs. Way to go Lava! Super price and quick delivery.BTW, every single item in my man cave was purchased on Amazon. I saved a ton.
