Product Description
The M.A.K.-1 and Extrik-8-R emergency rescue tools, are based on the day-to-day needs of professional firefighters, rescue workers, EMTs, police Special Response Teams, and military operators. The M.A.K.-1 System includes the M.A.K.-1 2050 tool, high-strength nylon fabric sheath, and a satin finish Extrik-8-R, described in detail below. The M.A.K.-1 (Multiple Access Knife) is a rescue and rapid entry knife, made of tough 3Cr13 stainless steel. It has a blunt chisel pry-bar tip for opening doors and windows and a Razor-Sharp knife edge suitable for heavy cutting or hacking tasks. The heavily textured and grooved G10 scales offer an aggressive grip and allow control when wearing gloves. The M.A.K.-1 gives two window-breaking options with a twist breaker and a carbide tip butt breaker. The satin finish M.A.K.-1 2050 comes complete with a custom high-strength nylon fabric sheath which will hold a shove knife and an Extrik-8-R tool. The Extrik-8-R is a lightweight satin-finished seat belt cutter and multi-tool. It has finger holes and grip grooves allowing use even with the heaviest gloves. It also has a rectangular relief which is sized to be an oxygen bottle wrench. James has added a simple blade screwdriver tip to one end, and Phillips screwdriver tip to the other end. A fitted Kydex sheath is included which allows easy carry on belts or webbing.

Great Multipurpose Knife

I like Knives that make good tools. This is it for me. The knife itself is heavy duty with multiple functions which if you are reading this you probably know what those are by now. I customize my gear to suit my needs and the sheath can be altered to meet almost any need you have with a couple 1/4 inch Chicago screws. After playing around with different fittings I inverted and turn the back plate around. It now fits my belt just right and the tension from the plate actually help hold the knife in place. But you will have to push it back slightly to fit the knife back in. I put the extric8r on my seat belt. I cant see another need for that unless i'm in the car or gutting some food. Sheath fits the seat belt strap perfectly. heavy duty materials and quality tools. CKRT is one of the best out there on the market.

I found customer service quite fast...nice job! This company is highly recommended. The product: Although I was hesitant, the deciding factor was that they were designed by a professional firefighter. As a volunteer ski patroller, I have been involved in 1 multi vehicle accident (just off site), with our resort having to respond to quite a few over the years, including a bus roll-over. Although I hope to never use them, I am extremely confident they will perform!!
