Satisfies Coast Guard

Haven't had to inflate it so can't say how it'll function but this pfd satisfies the Coast Guard regulation with minimal hassle so it fits the bill. Velcro stays together when pack is wet, it's lightweight and doesn't impede motion. We use short leashes for safety (so the SUP board is the functional pfd) and use this so we don't get a ticket.

I bought this to wear on my standup paddle board, as it is USCG approved Type 3 flotation device which is required. I've yet to be required to use it as a flotation device, however while wearing it is comfortable and unobtrusive. However, I would recommend taking it apart and understanding how it inflates in the event you ever do need to use it.
