By Mark J. Minasi
I copied 961 MB of files from my system to a standard USB 2.0 stick, 4 minutes 27 seconds. (Oh, that's right, that's why I bought a USB 3.0-compatible system.) Copied the same files to this USB 3.0 stick: 26 seconds. Ahhh...My only complaint is that the USB stick's a mite thick (hey, it's 32GB) and as a result might have trouble if you needed to plug it into a tight space. But overall it's what I expected.

This 32GB USB key performs flawlessly and is fast. HD Tune 2.55 showed that its average transfer is 78.8 MB/sec with an access time of 0.7ms.

Although USB3 devices are not common, that's no reason to avoid this little gadget. Firstly, you can use it directly with a USB2 port, you'll get USB2 speeds. But even better, it comes with a y-cable for use with a pair of USB2 ports, which gives you much higher speeds. They advertise 30MB, but the best I saw was 21MB. Still, very good when you're copying tons of data.Only concern I have is that it seems to get very warm, so I worry about leaving it plugged in for a long period.
