I love Dora products. She just exudes love of life and I hope that nature carries over to the child. So I purchased this for my grand-daughter--who actually hasn't received it yet. But I wanted to share my view regarding pricing. At ToysRUs, I purchased it for $44.xx + tax. This s the same model plus a small shipping charge, so I think Amazon needs to take a closer look. There is another model that sells for even more. I'm happy at $45+ tax. Amazon typically has better or equal pricing, so this really threw me. And YES, the cover removes for cleaning. Be sure to read label for operating 'safety zipper'.
