Our Troy Drywall Lift is made from an all welded steel construction, tool-free assembly and teardown, single stage winch with brake, and can be used by one person. It has a 11' maximum reach for horizontal ceilings, and 15' maximum reach for walls (determined by the 11' max lift and half the length of drywall). With the extension that is included it makes the lift go 4' higher on walls and ceilings. When the extension is on it can reach 15' maximum reach for horizontal ceilings, and 19' maximum reach for walls. It can hold a 4' x 16' single sheet capacity, with a 150 lbs load rating, has 5-Inch casters, and weighs 110lbs.

product good, company support bad

received product in a timely manner and as advertised, no tools were required to assemble."but", ordered 6' extension which arrived at the same time main package did. after assembling tool it was time to add extension into the mix. was surprised to find no directions anywhere in the empty packaging, took a good look at mechanism and cable system which appeared to be a little complicated but can be figured out eventually. called company tool was shipped from and person answering phone was aware of no instructions situation, asked if instructions could be found on line somehow and was told no, and to lay extension on flat ground to achieve extension change over. the cable pulley system looks a little complicated for this tool and i would have felt better adding extension after having found instructions somewhere. there was also a cable splice included with packaging which once you see the operating system you'll know immediately this system cannot be spliced as cable splice part would suggest, thus, another reason for instructions. i will use this tool in it's present capacity to install drywall at an 8 to 10 foot level, but have a future 15 foot section where extension will be needed. i fully expect to have to fully disassemble tool in order to achieve this and anticipate purchasing a new length of1/8" steel cable to complete.if i'm wrong anywhere in my analysis of this tool it's because there were no instructions for extension so, sorry to the shipper. now you know, do something about it. so, to be fair. this tool is sturdy enough to do the intended job. it's just there is little or no support from the shipper who is well aware of the lack of instructions for the extension part of this package.

Troy drywall hoist with extention

Like the other poster, I received product in a timely manner and as advertised. Although no tools were required the manual was worthless. I needed a magnifiing glass to read them. The picture in front of the box was more usefull and figured it out in about 10 min. With that said this is a nice product and worked well. Pretty stable as I was hanging 4x12 sheets on the wall. I have not used the extender yet and started with walls, since I have to cut the cable off to put the new extender on. No sense cutting off something unless you need toWell designed product but the package was bad. How do you ship a product that weights 100 lbs with alot of hard corners and not properly pad it??!! Box was all torn up but I have to admit that everthing was there and intact.I think that this is a great value.

Not made specifically for 12' sheets, but will work for them. Also, you need to remove the cable when putting on the extension and put some kind of a stopper on the end of the cable after you put it on. Not a big deal, I just went to the store and purchased a cable crimping U-bolt for $3 and it worked like a charm. After that, I was able to easily put up drywall sheets on a 15' ceiling.
