Too short

This shoe's sizing is almost a full size too short. ie. a 43.5 is equivelent to most brand's 42.5 or maybe 43. Also the toe box is too narrow in comparison to the rest of the shoe. Pearl Izumi makes a good MTB line of shoes in the X-Alps but this model must be from a different supplier or something as its certainly not sized the same at all!

Be sure to try a pair of these on before ordering online to ensure correct sizing. I comfortably wear a 45 in other brands, but the 45 in this PI Men's Race MTB shoe is not even close. I had to send these back due to sizing. The fit seems to be on the narrower side.Otherwise, it seems like a decent shoe for the money. The ratchet is nicer than others I've used. The sole is a plastic, not rubber.I am giving two stars because the sizing is so far off from other brands.

Great Shoe for the Money

I have had a number of shoes and while my favorite is still SIDI these have a very similar fit and feel for a lot less money.I would definitely recommend this shoe if you are used to a more Euro fit i.e. Northwave, SIDI, and Diadora..
