Surprisingly Nice

I always wanted a glass coffee table and I needed end tables so I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised:Pros:All the parts were thereThe tempered glass is quite strong (clanged one pane into a hard surface, not even a scuff)Mostly easy to assemble even with my tennis elbow issueNicely balancedSturdy but light enough to move with easePackaged like Fort Knox (glass packaged in a separate box)Looks greatGot it in two days with free shippingCons:Slight reddish rust that wipes off with little effortTack welded but still strongMade in China like everything else isA few metal beads rattle inside but when will you actually shake it?Tons of styrofoam but worth it for the shipping protectionNot recommend for people with young kids around, bumping into it will do a number on themAll in all, I'm so glad I took a chance on this and it should last me for a very long time.

Cheap and defective

Hated this set for three reasons:(a) One of the three tables was defective (the holes for the screws that hold it together were too big for the screws). Had to super-glue the table legs onto the frame.(b) It looks cheap. The frame is rough and was scratched up in places.(c) The tables came with little clear plastic suction cups that are supposed to sit between the glass and the table frame and stop the glass from rattling. They were extremely ugly. Had to replace them with bits of black felt between the frame and the glass.I chose not to return the tables only because packing them up and shipping the whole 30+ lbs of metal and glass back seemed even more challenging than trying to fix them. Still, never would have bought the set if I had known what it was going to be like.
