Good, But Poor Instructions

I just installed this item today. I'm a pretty smart fellow, very handy. But these instructions are a throwback to the 50s when cheap Japanese goods arrived with unintelligible instructions. I'm sure this transformer was manufactured in China, and the overall quality looks quite good. Nicely fabricated stainless enclosure. Good cord and low voltage connections. Heavy weight suggesting they put lots of copper into it. But I can make little sense out of the operating instructions after reading them several times. They were apparently translated by a computer program or by someone who didn't speak English and only had a Chinese/English dictionary. And the very simple controls are not intuitive. I guess I'll just wait for dark and program it by trial and error. The US distributors should have at lease provided English instructions written by a native English speaker.
