3Sound quality is OK for center channel speaker
By seancon
I had an inexpensive Infinity center channel that had wonderful highs and decent spectrum response, unfortunately, it was a bit large for my cabinet space, so I went with the smallest Klipsh I could get. Perhaps it is the "Klipsh Horn", however I don't experience the high frequencies as I used to with the Infinity. I've heard people discuss the Klipsh Horn experience as unique. The response of the speaker is adequate for a center channel, but not amazing. I would have expected a bit more from a high end brand name, or I would have settled for Polk, Infinity, etc.

5completes home audio very nicely . . .
By james beauchamp
the last addition to my home theater set up. starting originally with the klipsch hdt 500 system, i'd upgraded to the rb 51IIs, and then added the rs 41IIs, and those reviews are readily available. of course, with each addition, it made me want to add even more. i'd decided to complete the transition with this purchase, and it too lived up to every hope. it does a wonderful job of helping separate the speaking in tv and movies . . . when the music kicks in it eliminates the whole "can't hear what they're saying!" syndrome i've lived so long with. and with music it helps make the whole room come alive with whatever i'm listening to . . . the channels blend seamlessly for a wholeheartedly enjoyable experience. of course, if i lived in a higher tax bracket, i would salivate over the upper end of the reference series, but for the room i do my watching and listening in, what i have has really proven just wonderful. i still have half of the original hdt 500 system: the subwoofer holds up quite nicely with the replacements, and one set of satellites provide the extra something as surround back (though, ironically enough, i've had to put them up front . . . but the set up really does work) speakers. just great speakers, all of them! doesn't matter if i'm watching a movie, or listening to music (whether it be metal, new wave, or jazz). just couldn't be happier with klipsch.

5great speaker, very clear
By SynamonSpider
I recently purchased the whole 41 II package which includes the 42 II center speaker, 41 II bookshelf, and 41 II surrounds. I added 2 more 41 II bookshelf speakers for 7.1 surround sound. I am very happy with my purchase. The sound is SO CLEAR.I had an Onkyo 6300 HTIB system with the intention of upgrading my speakers, when the receiver decided to die on me. I ended up getting rid of it and getting a Denon 1911 receiver. Once the receiver was hooked up I decided to go ahead and upgrade the speakers as well. I kept the onkyo subwoofer and after much research decided to go with the Klipsch Reference 41 II series. It was kind of a shot in the dark because I couldn't find any reviews on them and no stores in my area carried them. I know klipsch is a good brand but I was a litle worried when I would read reviews that would say the sound can be too bright and may cause ear fatigue. That is not the case with these speakers! They are super clear, great highs, great mids, you hear every detail. When watching movies the voices are never drowned out by the music or thundering sound effects. Its a perfect balance. When listening to music you feel like you are front and center live, you can hear every note the horns are playing with no distortion, just great clarity.I highly recommend these speakers. My living room is 19 x 15 and they fill it nicely.
