5Exceptional value and quality for the price
By Michael E. Lenth
Better than I expected.I researched this item and am very glad I went with this microphone system for my Karaoke system. To my delight, the previous posted issues with the microphone have been addressed by GTD.1) The microphone mute button is now recessed on the microphone and less likely to be accidentally pressed. PLUS GTD has added a "lock" feature for both the microphones and receiver.2) The microphone compression works great. Yelling will not clip the microphone. PLUS for extremely noisy environments there is a -10 dB SWITCH under the head of the microphone, just unscrew the head, and with a small screwdriver or paperclip you can set the sensitivity 10 DB lower. The compression actually works better than the wired mic (without compression) for the loud (intoxicated) singers.First impressions:* Easy setup, I set up without reading the manual (typical guy I guess). If you have worked with wireless before, everything just seemed straight forward. I did reference the manual later and found the locking features.* Build quality appeared to be good. Only had a few days so can not address long term reliability. These are made in China, yet appear to be good quality.Receiver looks nice and is very functional (the display is a little hard to read if looking down at an angle) yet very easy to read in the daylight or dark if you are looking from the same level. You are able to view the actual frequency being used, yet it reverts back to the group and channel and will not stay on the frequency display. This is probably good since the microphone only displays the group and channel (not the frequency). The receiver will also show the microphone's battery level (very useful) and what antenna is in use. The antennas are 1/4 wave rubberized antennas that are less likely to break than some of the telescoping aluminum "rabbit ear" antennas that come on other microphone systems. The receiver uses up 1 rack unit and comes with the mounting brackets (did not see bolts though).Microphone has a nice weight and feel, does not feel like a "cheap" microphone. The mics came with different colored bottoms that make it easier to distinguish the microphones apart. The Select and Mute buttons are recessed in the body to make them less likely to get accidentally bumped, also there is a "lock" feature. There is a -10 dB switch under the microphone head that can easily be changed. Uses 2 AA batteries so rechargeable batteries can be used. The instruction manual also stated that the microphone element could be changed out (SM58).Overall the system has better sound than my cheap wired mics, close sound quality to my wired Sure mics (hard to compare with the compression on the wireless mic) Great range, no dropouts, Like the compression compared to the wired mics without compression. Very easy setup, no dip switches or dials to change on the receiver or microphone to "guess" what channel to use. This system scans and finds a good frequency and syncs with the microphone easily with a couple pushes of buttons.I would definitely buy this system again! This is not a Sure microphone system, yet most people will not be able to hear the difference unless comparing side by side. This is a great system that is perfect for Karaoke (at home or in the bars), and for the price of the replacement mics I am not afraid to let the kids or the big kids (with too many beverages) use this system... actually works better for them since there are no cords to pull on, limit their movement, or trip over, and the microphone compression really helps keep the volume in check (without having to buy external compression).Bottom line the microphone system gave me everything I needed and even more than I expected! If you are on the fence to buy, I would say buy, you will be happy!

5Great wirelless mics no dropouts
By azkj
WOW ! No dropouts AT ALL! Simple set up, mics sound great! Solid sturdy construction on microphone transmitters. Have tried Audio Technica NADY, Audio2000, Pyle over years.. Use Shures and Sennheiser in Corp shows, but too expensive in bars! These ROCK!

5Awesome!
By DJ Jax
Wow!! I host karaoke every week at a very busy bar and these things rock! I didn't want to invest a lot of money only to have some drunk tear them up. But I did want something with decent quality. Home run! These mics sound great and look like they will last longer than any of the corded mics I have piled up. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a wireless mic solution.
