no axis assist, the locking mechanism is just called an axis lock

This is a great knife but the title for the product is wrong, there is no axis assist, otherwise I would have rated 5*This is my second blade from benchmade and I love both, I'll keep this one even though it is not what I thought I had ordered. Easy to use, fits comfortably in my palm, feels very solid. When folded out it feels more like a fixed knife then a pocket knife. The blade is bigger then I expected but I definitely like it.I assume the axis assist in the title is trying to refer to the locking mechanism, but that's simply an axis lock. There is no assisted opening which I was very disappointed about.

BK1 Coated Rift Knife

Benchmade continues to create useful and beautiful knives. The BK-1 was designed by Osbourne, I have several knives by Osbourne, and have enjoyed all of them. This is a big knife so probably is best used in a pack or carried on a belt.
