4GTS 10 is still better for me
By El_Capitan
I ordered both the GTS 10 and the GTS 11, having moved up from GTS 7 and GTS 8. I skipped the GTS 9 line due to not having liked how it fit my feet when I tried it on at a running store. There really isn't a lot of bad things I can say about the shoe, so I'll compare it with the GTS 7, 8, 10, and 11.About me:I'm 5'8" 165lbs, and medium distance runner (6-9 miles or 45 minutes to an hour), no to mild pronation, low to medium arch, narrow to medium feet width.Comfort: The GTS 10 really feels the most comfortable, and is a bit like how the GTS 8 fit around my feet. The GTS 11 feels a lot like the GTS 7 in terms of comfort. They are all really comfortable, but as far as fitting goes, the GTS 10 really molds around my feet perfectly, but a little more so than the GTS 8.Cushion: The GTS 10 provides the best cushion for the balls of my feet, the most solid arch support, and heel cushioning. The GTS 11 felt a little low in the arch department, and didn't have as much cushioning at the heels. It's a little lighter, so I feel as though I could run faster, but doesn't feel as good when keeping a steady pace.Durability: The GTS 7 and GTS 8 both lasted a good solid 1-2 years, replacing the insoles every couple of months. I've yet to see how the GTS 10 and GTS 11 fare.After-run thoughts: My most notable pain I feel when running is not in my knees or ankles, but my shins. The GTS 7, 8, and 11 just don't give me the cushioning I need to ease the pain from my shins (I have off and on shin splints). The GTS 10 seems to take the pain away from my shins, and I really feel great after a run! That's it for my brief review. In short, the GTS 10 feels like a better upgrade over the GTS 8, and the GTS 11 feels like a better upgrade over the GTS 7. Everyone's body and feet and running behavior is different, but if you somewhat resemble my stature, running length/speed, and feet type, I highly recommend the GTS 10.

5my little black shoe
By A. Berger
I asked my physical therapist what walk:run shoe I should get, and she noticed I was a flat footed over pronator and should limit my purchase accordingly. I narrowed my choices down to this Brooks and NB-933, and settled for the Brooks because it was cheaper, less bulky and available in all black, which may be helpful should you wear these at work. I took my Brooks for a 3 mile 1 hour treadmill walk, and my feet felt noticeably less fatigued even hours after my workout. You will feel the arch support on the inner side of your foot, but the slope to the center of your foot is gradual enough as not to bite into it like I suffered while trying a 3 mile walk in Asics Evolution or Foundation shoes. These Brooks have mesh vents along the sides of the shoe like Asics and Nike runners, so they may not be good for running in the wet and cold or a muddy trail, so I may get more rugged and sealed NB-933 for that application should I find them 50% at an end of season sale. Brooks have these odd flaps beside most lace holes that are designed to hold the lace so tension does not travel up and down your foot. This may take some getting used to if you are used to tightening your laces at the top and hope that tension will pull the lace tense all the way down your foot. So basically you have to pluck the laces starting from the bottom and working your way up in order to get a really excellent firm fit - sort of like lacing ice skates.A few tips for you online sneakers shoppers: If you normally buy a 10 medium shoe, either get 10.5 medium or 10.0 wide on a running shoe. If you only want a shoe to fast or power walk in, get a runner anyway, as they are constructed for similar duties while the runners are of more durable materials so they last longer. If you want something to walk short distances and stand around a lot in, then a Walking shoe will help keep your foot planted flatter so it will feel more comfortable long hours on your feet than a runner. If you want to walk:run on a trail, not on asphalt, then you really should be looking at trail or hiking shoes, or make sure to get rugged runner like New Balance Men's MR993 Running Shoe. and finally, if you are not aware of your level of pronation (severe over neutral under) - you really should find out. some sneaker specialty shops can evaluate your level of pronation to help you narrow down your search for the shoe that not only fits best, but is healthier for you to walk:run in.

5Perfect for me
By J. Marshall
I bought these a week before my last marathon, and when I tried them on I knew that I didn't even have to break them in. I ran the marathon, got my best time, and had no blisters or knee pain after. I previously had the Adrenaline 10, and those were great as well, but the tongue of the shoe always moved around on me. On this model they have an extra loop on the tongue that seems to keep it in place.
