Works very well...

I was a little skeptical about buying a wireless solar powered driveway alarm but so far it has worked perfectly. The directions on pairing the transmitter to the base station are not very good but I finally figured it out. Once it was paired it worked well. At first I had it too close to the road, about 20', and large vehicles would trigger it. I moved it further up where it farther from the road but not in direct line of site to the receiver and it works perfectly, even with our guest house blocking the line of sight. It has been in use for a couple of months and worked well. The transmitter is approximately 70' from the receiver and it works well. I have another receiver that I put in a metal building about 300' away from the transmitter and it will not work.

Item works well, but instructions are outdated and supplied batteries are sub-par

I ordered the base station with a sensor, plus a 2nd sensor. Both were packaged well and shipped in a timely manner. My main driveway is 400+ feet long, with part of it obscured from view from my house due to hilly terrain. I recently bought a 2nd parcel of land that has its own driveway, and it is completely obscured from view. Both driveways now have a wireless sensor, and they are working well. I've had no "false positives" and a 100% success rate on getting alarms about incoming delivery vehicles, etc.I have only 2 complaints about this unit.1. The instructions for the base unit refer you to the instructions for the wireless sensor on how to sync the unit. The wireless sensor's printed instructions contain NO information on how to do this. I had to do some Google searches to find more complete instructions. The provided printed instructions need to say that after activate the sync function on the base unit, the remote sensor needs to be placed on a flat surface and rotated 90-180 degrees to activate its sync function.2. I replaced the batteries supplied for the wireless sensor with rechargeable Energizers. The supplied Ni-Mh batteries are made in China and provide 1100 mAh of power. Energizers provide 2300 mAh.

This is my 3rd transmitter addition. I bought the transmitter/receiver unit, then 2 more additional transmitters to cover other drive ways.This one triggers on magnetic change so it does not false trigger on animals.However, don't mount on small trees or even a slightest sway from the wind will cause a false alarm. The solar charger works well and maintenance-free.
