THE BEAUTY AND THE BEACH

Those who expect an objective review should look elsewhere: I just love this watch. I rarely shop form over function, but I am completely smitten with the looks of this watch. The white-dial, large-number, nautical-flag theme is an attractive complement to almost any color clothing. The function aspect is more than I expected. The 44mm case diameter (47mm wide with crown) makes this watch a medium-large by today's standards. It's also medium-heavy, but quite comfortable to wear. The textured navy blue strap top is synthetic over a leather strap. The strap is flexible enough to be comfortable from the first wearing. I was going to replace the strap with a red silicone strap, but this strap is so attractive and comfortable that I'll wait until it shows some wear before replacement. The case, bezel, and crown are brushed finish rather than polished. The screw-down back is a combination of brushed and polished. The 120-stop bezel works smoothly and precisely. And, glory be, the second hand hits the seconds dial right on the money. Although this won't be one of my Designated Wet Watches, the screw-down crown helps ensure the integrity of the 100m water resistance. In a marine emergency, I would feel safe jumping off a bridge to save a drowning cooler of beer while wearing this watch. This is a great watch. Buy it and enjoy! --RonUPDATE 02-25-2011: After "auditioning" several bands I put an Eichmueller solid link, stainless steel bracelet on this watch. The brushed finish and color of the bracelet match the watch exactly and now this watch is b-b-b-bad! --Ron

Great nice looking watch, the only flaw is the leather band, I changed it for a rubber one that I can use in the pool or beach, otherwise is a very nice good looking sports watch, I will get another in a Black version.Service by Amazon just EXCELLENT!!!!
